There are lots of reasons to take a cruise. Many cruise lines offer trips focused on family fun, while others journey to far-off destinations that you can’t easily visit by plane. But one of my favorite reasons to hop aboard a cruise ship is to spend a week or so in the lap of luxury. Oceania has some of the best luxury cruises you can book today, and I highly recommend adding a cruise to your upcoming travel plans! While these trips cost a bit more upfront, you get what you pay for, and the luxe accommodations are WORTH IT! On my last cruise, I loved Greek Night—there were so many dishes, many of which I’d never ever heard of before. Just the varieties of olives they had was astounding, not to mention the delicious baklava! This luxury cruise line really has it figured out—there’s never a long line at the buffet!
Perhaps the gold standard in cruise dining was an optional seven-course dinner I enjoyed on an Oceania ship. We dined in a private room, and the chef explained each course before tuxedo-clad servers brought it out. In addition to the food, the wine pairings were amazing! Truly a luxury, multi-sensory experience!

Cabins on your average cruise line are infamous for being tiny, cramped, and sometimes, dark. But on an Oceania cruise, that couldn’t be further from the truth! These rooms are much larger than normal, and the bathrooms even have cabinets for convenient storage space. When I traveled with my daughter, we could almost use the mirror at the same time—a feat that’s impossible on normal ships!

Taking a run-of-the-mill cruise may get you to similar destinations but you’ll miss out on some exceptional amenities! On a luxury cruise, you rarely run out of space at the pool, dining options, or onboard entertainment. Plus, you’ll have a blast getting dolled up for dinner! Other amenities Oceania offers include:
